New York Views, interview with
Roz Abrams and Charlotta Kotik.

"Coresample is a sequel to John Toth's extended installation series, which uses the extinct species of dinosaurs as ametaphor to elucidate his idea about time, scale, and discovery. Hanging from the ceiling is a work of plexiglass, shaped like fgragments of colossal bones. Bands of striped paintings reach from the floor to the ceiling. Evokative of geological core sampoles of the earth, the refer to the inexhaustible layers of perceptual information we experience every day."
